Kill the Health Care Bill (facetious)

The Health Care Bill is terrible! It will include 32 million Americans: the poor, the sick, those the most at risk with the least amount of resources, the most valnerable in our society, and even "children" will be covered by this Health Care Reform Bill!

We love our insurance companies! We know that dropping sick people, denying coverage, and pre-conditions for children and adults are just good business practices. We need to preserve the "bottom line" of the insurance companies! The insurance executives need to have their million dollar bonuses protected!

This Health Care Bill has the audacity to require all American to pay their "fair share" of health care cost. It will be mandatory to have health insurance just like we are required to have car insurance. And if we refuse we will be pentalized (just like driving without car insurance).

This Heal Care Reform Bill is a giant government take-over just like Social Security and Medicare. In protest I am returning all of my Social security checks and Medicare reinbursements.

Having insurance is a "Privilege" not a fundamental right of "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." We have our health insurance because we "pay for it." There is no room for sentimental Social Justice. Caring for the poor, the weakest most vulnerable people in our society, caring for our neighbor, caring for children are just Christian ideals; not what we actually practice!

We all know that the insurance rates are skyrocketing. we all know that the current system is unsustainable. But please, let's put off this day of reckoning for another 20 - 30 years! Even though the Congressional Budget Office says the Health Reform Bill will save billions off of the national deficit we need to stop this nonsense!

We need to obscure the truth and hide the benefits of the Health Reform Bill. We need to play on people's fears and prejudices. Democracy and majority rule just are not working. We need to stop President Obama from helping and serving all Americans!

Written facetiously by Osten Aune

Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go visit you?

"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'"

Matthew 25:37-40

I voted for President Obama mainly because of "Health Reform." Literally: my life, the life of my wife, my adult-children, and grandchildren are dependent on the new Health Reform Bill.

I have asthma, my wife has high blood pressure and the initial signs of diabetes... we have preconditions... we are excluded from doctors and medicines. Our only option is the most expensive; the emergency room.

My preventitive medicine "Advair" cost $160.00 per month. When you only earn $9-$10 dollars per hour this is impossible if you have to eat, pay rent and bills which take up most of your paycheck.

My son-inlaw has diabetes... another precondition. For him to get health insurance would cost more than his house payment! My family works hard and we pay our taxes. All I want is just a fighting chance for my family to get the medicines and care that they need.

If the Health Care Reform Bills is "Killed" it is literally a vote to "Kill" me and my family, and 32 million other Americans.

No one can serve two masters.
Either he will hate one and love the other,
or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.
You cannot serve both God and Money.
Luke 6:24

I ask you... which do you serve?

New Paradigm for God’s Justice

I am truly passionate about God's redemptive-restorative Justice! God is passionate about caring for the poor, the sick, the hungry, the new lepers of our society - the homeless, the unemployed, gays and lesbians, those at the bottom of our society and despised.

God is a Creator who Loves all of His Creation. God Loves ALL of His people; even the people we don't like or even hate. God is the God who leaves the ninety-nine to seek and to find the "one" that is "lost." God leaves "No ONE" behind!

Amazing Grace!
How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
was blind, but now I see....

God is full of Love and Grace for ALL of His peoples. Even the people who have done us harm. God patiently waits for our return to Him. God does NOT want "sin, guilt, self-loathing, mistakes - no matter how atrocious and heinous to separate us from God. God dearly wants to bring us BACK to a "Right Relationship" with God - This is "Salvation" and Salvation is NOW!

This "new Paradigm for God's Justice" BLOG is not a soft cozy place to be comfortable! This "New Paradigm for God's Justice" BLOG is to purposely make us uncomfortable; to challenge our Faith, to challenge our thinking, to encourage us to walk into deeper waters, to get out of our cozy "comfort zone," and "to do something!"

We are NOT called to be complacent, lethargic, luke-warm Christians! We are called to go out into the world, to "tell the 'Good News' of Jesus Christ," to make a difference! God does NOT place people in our paths for us to ignore and to walk-around like they do not exist. God puts people in our lives for a purpose!

Now that you know these things,
you are blessed if you do them.
Gospel of John 13:17

This "New Paradigm for God's Justice" BLOG is NOT going to be politically correct! In many respects you may disagree with what I am saying (no problem)... I am NOT trying to tell you what to think... but I am trying to make you think... to challenge your thinking. Sometimes we need to be able to defend our beliefs, (even if we only need to defend our beliefs to ourselves), to review, renew, and to reaffirm our beliefs.

We need to realize that our Faith, our Journey is a work still in progress. God, the Potter, is still molding and shaping us into a new creation. As our walk with God becomes a closer relationship with God, our thinking, our beliefs, our minds, our hearts are constantly challenged, and changing, g-r-o-w-i-n-g - growing closer to God.

I ask for your comments, but please if you disagree, please to be respectful in your replies.

Thank you,
